The St Mary’s Tower gardens are a lovely oasis in our city, and perfect for a picnic.
Sunday June 16th is a celebration, not just of unity but heritage, to be part of a community that goes back almost a thousand years – Hornsey Village is the oldest recorded village in London – 1202.
The Tower is over 500 years old, and one of the oldest buildings in N London and is open from 2-5pm. Walk up the 101 steps and get an amazing view of Ally Pally, Wood Green and Crouch End.
And there is no better symbol of the centre of a community than the old church tower.
The action starts at 12:30 (but feel free to get there earlier). Bring a picnic. Bring the family. The neighbours and friends. Pets. Ends 5pm.
We have a FREE bouncy castle for kids. Plus games. Children’s theatre.
FREE art workshops, free-for-all art table for parents to entertain their kids. www.facebook.com/Creativekidsartclubuk Fun history sheets, tomb and tree trail, Teddy Bear Zip Wire…
